GWM, a leading automotive manufacturer, sought to revitalise its vehicle configurator for the Australian and New Zealand markets. Known for its value-focused vehicles, including the Cannon Utes and diverse range of SUVs, GWM aimed to enhance user interaction and engagement through a more modern, intuitive platform.
Challenge: The existing configurator was hampered by an outdated user interface, making navigation cumbersome and uninviting. Key features like the finance calculator and accessories were hidden, and the lack of personalisation options limited user engagement. The platform's text-heavy design failed to captivate users, reducing its overall usability and value.
Solution: Revium reimagined the configurator by introducing a visually engaging, mobile-first design. We transitioned from a multi-tabbed interface to a single, long-scroll page, enhancing the user journey from discovery to configuration. Large imagery and an immersive layout showcased each model effectively, while Azure B2C authentication allowed users to create profiles and manage configurations securely. A custom API integration between Salesforce and Storyblok enabled a personalised experience, further enriched by Customer.io and Azure B2C platform integrations.
Outcome: The revamped configurator now aligns with GWM's refreshed site aesthetics and performs seamlessly across devices. Key features, including finance options, are prominently displayed, improving discoverability and usability.
