Alinta Energy faced several challenges with their existing sales and pricing system. The company required a solution that could adapt to their unique approach to various C&I markets, implement a distinct pricing methodology focusing on complex calculations for additional premiums, and calculate accurate prices for gas and electricity markets across different regions. Additionally, the system needed to reduce the risk of mispricing, automate the generation of documentation such as offers and contracts, handle dual handling of SME business sales and C&I markets, and provide a detailed interactive price page for sales and pricing staff.
The goal was to enhance efficiency, reduce manual data entry and human error, and ensure consistency in pricing and contracts.
Revium addressed these challenges by developing a Power Deal Manager (PDM) system, customised to meet Alinta Energy's business and sales process requirements.
The PDM system streamlined workflows, allowing for seamless sales management from end to end.
It incorporated workflow authorisation features, enabling appropriate personnel to access and approve various stages of the sales process.
The integration with Alinta's other business systems eliminated redundant data transfers, further enhancing efficiency.
By automating the production of pricing and contracts, the PDM system dramatically reduced manual data entry and the associated risk of human error, ensuring consistent and accurate energy quotes and contracts based on Alinta Energy's C&I pricing model.
The implementation of the PDM system has provided Alinta Energy with a significant competitive advantage.
The custom .NET application facilitates a seamless management of the sales process, from the prospect stage through to acquisition, across various teams and markets.
Since its inception, the solution has proven its value, supported by five dedicated Revium team members.
