Giving back to the community has never been more important to us here at Revium. Particuarly with the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are proud to be able to donate a portion of our profits to charity each year.
With many individuals and organisations doing it tough since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, giving back to the community has never been more important to us.
At Revium, we are proud to be able to donate a portion of our profits to charity each year.
For the 2020/21 financial year, we have supported a range of different charities and would like to highlight some of the incredible efforts being made by these organisations.
This month, the team at Revium are taking part in The Push Up Challenge to raise awareness and funds for mental health – with over 9,000 push ups completed so far! The funds will be going towards Lifeline – Australia’s leading suicide prevention service providing individuals with access to 24-hour crisis support.
Redux Foundation works to clean the streets of developing countries, preventing plastic and rubbish from polluting the ocean. Redux has collected over 22,000 kilos of plastic around Bali and has planted over 200 mangrove trees.
Beyond Blue is another incredible mental health organisation, providing a range of support services to Australians. They offer a safe and reliable place for individuals to access information surrounding mental health and find support in their community.
Another organisation that is very close to our heart is The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH). The hospital located in Melbourne, cares for children and young people when they need it most. Donations made to the RCH, supports its research, equipment and technology, education and training as well as patient and family centred care.
Biolinks Alliance is an organisation dedicated to large-scale conservation in Victoria, working to restore the natural environment and improve landscapes around the state. Their efforts help to prevent the further decline of endangered wildlife species such as the Swift Parrots, Tailed Phascogale and the Rock Wallaby.
Care for Kids Foundation is an orphanage in Bali, Indonesia which is 100% funded by donations. The incredible efforts made by a small team of people in the area, provides refuge and support to Indonesian children. Care for Kids Foundation work to ensure disadvantaged children have access to food, clothing, education and shelter.
The mental health struggles faced by young men across Australia are far too often overlooked. Movember is the leading charity for men’s health providing suicide prevention, support services, health resources and much more. While the team at Revium did not grow impressive moustaches in November, we are proud to have made a company donation to Movember to support such an important cause.
Situated in our local community, Yarra Primary School is a state school that was formed in 1888. We were able to donate to the school to help them in building a brand-new playground. The children have been enjoying the playground since it officially opened in late March!
TreeProject aims to restore indigenous vegetation and repair Victoria’s damaged ecosystems. They provide training and support for individuals and communities growing indigenous seedlings – helping plant over 2 million trees. John McRae, former Managing Partner at Revium provides pro bono services to TreeProject and is bringing their website and technology platform into the modern age.
The Great Western Football & Netball Club brings the local community together with traditional grassroots sporting programs such as Auskick and NetSetGo for juniors. Like many community organisations, they have been doing it tough these past 12-months as COVID restrictions meant sports were not being played and game attendance revenue was not being generated. With our donation, the club will be able to provide brand new footballs and netballs for its junior club members.
Another organisation offering support to Australians is Switchboard. They provide peer-driven support services for the LGBTIQA+ community along with their families and allies. Some of the Switchboard initiatives include free and confidential phone support as well as family violence, suicide prevention and anti-racism assistance.
Last but not least is the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI), conducting vital medical and biological research to create a healthier future for children. Throughout the last 25 years, their research has led to improvements in cancer diagnosis, epilepsy treatment and further understanding of genetic diseases.
We hope that our donations help towards improving the lives of people in our communities and around the world.
