Revium continues to uphold our commitment to carbon neutrality. Each year, we calculate our unavoidable emissions and offset them by contributing to global environmental projects.
Maintaining carbon neutrality is crucial for Revium as it underscores our commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability. By offsetting our carbon emissions, we not only reduce our impact on climate change but also set a positive example for other businesses and our community. We're proud to share our approach to maintaining carbon neutrality in FY24.
This financial year we saw a significant reduction in our carbon outputs. This is largely attributed to opting in to a carbon neutral electricity plan – resulting in 0 carbon emissions from electricity.
To ensure we have allowed for any oversights or margin for errors in our calculations, for the FY24 year we purchased 17 tonnes of carbon offsets.
We acquire our carbon offsets through Ecologi, which funds Gold Standard certified carbon reduction projects globally.
You can track our monthly environmental impact via our Ecologi company profile, available for viewing here.
To date, Revium has funded the planting of over 1,800 trees.
We have contributed to climate projects such as reforestation in Mozambique, Africa, preventing emissions of methane gas in Brazil and generating renewable solar electricity in Egypt.
Utilise a hybrid working model where staff are able to work remotely up to four out of five days per week, reducing travel requirements.
Using accredited green energy suppliers for our office.
Supporting environmentally sustainable organisations including monthly donations to the WWF.
Some businesses use an alternative carbon method which involves purchasing a carbon certification by a third party provider. You can read more about our commitment to carbon neutrality and why we have opted for Revium's approach over others here.
