Kids First is an innovative, child-centered organisation based in metropolitan Melbourne, providing pioneering services and programs to empower children, young people, and their families. Revium was engaged to develop a Digital Transformation Strategy to help Kids First overcome legacy challenges and fully realise their potential amid a significant organisational merger.
As a purpose-driven organisation with a commitment to delivering evidence-informed programs, Kids First was hindered by outdated processes and systems that limited their ability to achieve their objectives. The complexity of the organisation was further amplified by an ongoing merger, adding layers of difficulty in managing various work streams simultaneously. To sustain their pioneering approach and enhance their service delivery, Kids First needed a strategic partner to forge a clear path forward in their digital transformation journey.
After validating a current state analysis provided by a previous consultancy, Revium embarked on an extensive discovery process involving workshops and meetings with Kids First teams.
This collaborative effort unearthed over 170 key learnings, which were systematically categorised into themes and pillars. From there, we crafted a cohesive digital strategy, establishing visions, goals, objectives, and guiding principles.
Leveraging tools such as Notion for organisation, Figma for design and FigJam for collaboration, we developed a comprehensive digital roadmap. The roadmap laid out detailed initiatives for each pillar, supplemented with governance structures and frameworks necessary for successful implementation and ongoing success.
The digital transformation roadmap delivered to Kids First offers a meticulously structured guide for their digital journey over the next three to five years.
With clearly defined digital maturity horizons, the roadmap outlines a sequence of initiatives prioritised to meet the organisation's strategic objectives effectively.
This visual and strategic document spans an impressive 3m x 6m wall space, symbolising the expansive vision it encapsulates.
Kids First now possesses a clear, actionable plan to navigate their complex digital landscape, enabling them to better support and empower the children, families and communities they serve.
The comprehensive roadmap will guide Kids First in leveraging digital solutions to achieve their vision of fostering resilient, strong, and safe environments for children and young people.
