Direct Connect: Agent Portal Rebuild

Direct Connect wanted to enhance its Agent Portal to better serve real estate partners and drive business growth. The previous portal, built on the legacy Expression Engine CMS, was constrained by limited features, functionality, and security vulnerabilities. This outdated technology hindered user experience and posed potential risks to the business. The project’s goal was to modernise the portal to offer a more intuitive, secure, and feature-rich platform.

Direct Connect specialises in helping people manage their utilities and connections when moving home. They offer a one-stop service for connecting electricity, gas, and internet, making the process more convenient and less stressful with mover and cleaning services.

The Challenge

Outcome

With the rebuild of the Member Portal on a headless CMS architecture and component-based build, Direct Connect now have a portal that is more efficient, scalable, secure and is able to continuously improve user experience to meet the evolving needs of their customers.

The new Member Portal has resulted in:

  • Increased efficiency, maintainability, and consistency through reusable components and an easy to update site.

  • Simplified Content Creation and Management: An intuitive CMS empowers Direct Connect staff to easily create, edit and publish content quickly.
