For the 2022/23 financial year, we supported a range of charities that provide immense support to people, animals and the planet.
Our staff actively participate in challenges and fun runs while choosing the causes they feel passionately about. As we bring the 2022/23 fiscal year to a close, we would like to take a moment to showcase the outstanding work these charities continue to do – providing support to people, animals and the planet.
Below are some of the charities that we have supported:
In August last year, Revium participated in Fred's Big Run, a fundraising event for The Fred Hollows Foundation. This incredible organisation is dedicated to ending avoidable blindness in 25 countries. Astonishingly, 9 out of 10 blind people don't need to be. Through our combined efforts with competitor agency Luminary, we tracked almost 8,000 kilometres and raised funds to restore sight for over 600 people. We have immense gratitude for our staff's dedication throughout the challenge and the generosity of our supporters.
Revium participated in The Push Up Challenge for the third consecutive year. As a team, we completed over 12,000 push-ups throughout June, raising awareness and funds for Lifeline. Lifeline is a national charity that provides crucial 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services to all Australians experiencing personal crises.
At Revium, we firmly believe in the significance of large-scale conservation efforts. That's why we stand alongside the Biolinks Alliance, an organisation dedicated to restoring the natural environment and improving landscapes across the country. Recently, Biolinks Alliance launched a fundraising campaign to safeguard large old trees in Central Victoria that provide habitat for endangered Baring Owls and countless Woodland Birds. By supporting this initiative, we play a crucial role in preserving biodiversity and protecting our natural heritage.
Intense rainfall can devastate communities, as witnessed in Pakistan last year. In response to the significant flooding, Revium supported UNICEF to provide humanitarian and developmental aid to the affected regions. The UNICEF Pakistan Relief Fund was established to raise funds for communities impacted by the floods, ensuring access to safe drinking water and other lifesaving supplies. Donations to UNICEF helped make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected, offering them a chance to rebuild and recover.
The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been a pillar of outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 150 years. RCH raises funds through the Good Friday Appeal, supporting critical healthcare initiatives. This year, our donations will contribute to the RCH Campus Mental Health Strategy, aimed at delivering high-quality mental health care, research, and education for infants and children.
Over a million Australians are currently battling eating disorders. At Revium, we recognise the importance of supporting those impacted by such issues, which is why we stand with the Butterfly Foundation. This charity provides various services, treatments, and resources to help Australians struggling with eating disorders and body image concerns. Initiatives like their national helpline, virtual support groups, and specialist eating disorder residential recovery centre offer invaluable support to individuals on their journey towards recovery.
Revium proudly supports Friends with Dignity, a volunteer-based charity dedicated to providing practical assistance to domestic and family violence survivors. By working closely with refuge and crisis centres, Friends with Dignity ensures that individuals who have fled from domestic violence receive ongoing support. Their efforts provide financial assistance and access to essential resources, programs, and scholarships that promote safety and opportunities for those affected.
Revium is delighted to continue supporting the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) for the third year. The WWF is actively conserving natural resources on both local and global scales. Closer to home, they are committed to protecting Australia's Great Barrier Reef by reducing pollution. Additionally, the WWF aims to plant 2 billion trees by 2030, aiding the restoration of native forests. Through our partnership, we preserve our precious ecosystems and foster a sustainable future.
Mental health support is of utmost importance, particularly for young individuals. Revium proudly supports Headspace, a foundation specialising in mental health support for 12–25-year-olds. Their services include online and phone counselling, vocational assistance, online education, and headspace centres. By prioritising early intervention and equipping young people with the necessary tools, Headspace is vital in helping them better manage their mental health and navigate life's challenges.
Make-A-Wish is an incredible charity that grants wishes to critically ill children worldwide. In Australia alone, over 14,000 children are living with life-threatening illnesses. Make-A-Wish works closely with these children, their families, and medical teams to bring joy and lasting memories through unique wish experiences.
As we reflect on the incredible work accomplished by these charities, the team at Revium thank them for their efforts. We are humbled to have played a part in supporting their causes, and we look forward to continuing our support.
