The 2019/20 financial year was a difficult one for many, with the COVID-19 pandemic impacting individuals and communities across Australia. At Revium, we are proud to offer our support through our yearly charity donations.
Here are some of the amazing charities we have supported this past year.
International Women’s Day
In March, the Revium team had a morning tea to celebrate International Women’s Day. Wearing our purple ribbons, we discussed success stories of women around the world while enjoying home-made baked goods. We all took part in fundraising efforts and were able to donate to Domestic Violence Resource Centre Victoria and UN Women Australia.
Robert Connor Dawes Foundation
Robert Connor Dawes Foundation (RCDF) was created in memory of Robert ‘Connor’ Dawes. The RCDF funds brain cancer and paediatric brain tumour research and offers care and development services to support those who are impacted along with their families. Brain cancer is the most fatal of all childhood cancers and these funds allow researchers to further understand, detect and treat the disease.
The Fred Hollows Foundation
The goal of The Fred Hollows Foundation is to end avoidable blindless and help people out of poverty all over the world. They restore individuals’ sight through medication, surgery, education, prevention and training. The Fred Hollows Foundation also provides eye health care for Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders who often don’t receive the same level of care.
The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a large increase in the number of individuals seeking food relief, with young people hit the hardest. Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation working with a network of farmers, manufacturers, wholesalers, charity partners, schools and transport services to feed vulnerable Australians.
BlazeAid is an organisation that is very close to our hearts. Thanks to their incredible volunteers, BlazeAid provides the support needed to rebuild rural communities impacted by fires and floods. They will work in a disaster-affected area for many months, restoring damaged fences and structures and well as lifting the community’s spirit.
Red Cross is a humanitarian organisation assisting individuals and communities all across Australia. In times of need, Red Cross is there to provide support, shelter and connect people with their loved ones. Some of the many ways they help Australians include mental health, NDIS and homelessness services as well as assisting migrants with their transitions.
Community Cat Carers
Community Cat Carers do incredible work rescuing and rehabilitating vulnerable and abandoned cats across Sydney. Their volunteers give these kittens and cats a second chance, working to rehome them to a loving family so they can live a happy, healthy life.
We thank these charities for the work they do, offering support, guidance and refuge to individuals, families and communities.
